Education
Yellow Media Education works with some of the most disaffected students from very difficult backgrounds.
They come to us unable to achieve in formal education and using media, experienced tutors and mentors we reengage students and deliver GCSE results in Maths and English.
Perhaps more importantly Yellow Media courses teach students to communicate in the work place, take pride in themselves and generally become a better citizen.
Director Malcolm Clark has been delivering our courses for 7 years. Our established Essex branch boasts the highest attendance levels in the area.
We are now opening additional Yellow Education facilities in partnership with experienced and established education figures in Kent, Surrey and Birmingham.
Not everyone fits in. For some of us formal education and work place structures are a constant source of friction. Sometimes the result can be boredom, disruption and a sense of isolation from the productive world. Young people affected by these emotions experience a loss of spirit and are vulnerable to the most negative distractions.
In so many cases just below the disinterested exterior a sharp inventive and often entrepreneurial mind is lurking and in most of our students we find a hidden need for structure and inclusion.
Courses tap into the enthusiasm young people instinctively possess for music and fashion and draws them into an alternative education program.
They will effectively be working for a radio station a film company or fashion house and be motivated to learn basic life skills. They will go on to mastering the art of self-presentation and this confidence will lead them to a full understanding of the most important aspects of working in and perhaps owning their own business.
Inspiration will come from our tutors with professional backgrounds as Presenters and Producers at Capital 95.8, LBC Radio and Heart FM, London fashion houses and film production companies.
The student’s pastoral care is most important, the course is a framework around which they can grow and develop, motivating and educating simultaneously.
Our courses are flexible and we will be most pleased to suit your particular requirements. The ten week course is for re-engagement and this can be extended to the full school year with NCFE accreditation level one.
We now offer GCSE Maths and English across a two year course alongside a qualification from The Princes Trust.
Malcolm Clark heads up our division and considers it to have been a privilege to work for schools and Pupil Referral Units in London, and South Essex for the last five years.
